Yardie and the Aliens - Paperback

by Yaya Oluwubarunla (Editor), Anike Gold (Illustrator), Tanya R. Chambers (Author)

Three soul sisters from the distant planet of Golealm needed matter to survive. For the first three centuries, Roboliac, the youngest, lived in various animals, learning survival lessons. After which, she shared a body with a young shaman in Tanzania's Miombo jungle, where she learned to adapt as a human. In the shaman's body, she sired many sons and lived in Tanzania for a century and a half, always assuming the male until her children spread out.

Her sister Jalaniac went to Spanish Town, Jamaica and Laliac only appeared when truly needed.

Another one hundred years had passed after which Roboliac experienced the horrors of slavery, when she was forced into bondage trying to find the last beloved son she had sired. When all of her offsprings became obsolete, she tried to escape slavery by fleeing to Jamaica. There, she met Jalaniac, who was also a victim of slavery and had lost her memory. Roboliac lived as an animal until her sister's memories returned, filling her with joy as she took on the role of Jalaniac's daughter and granddaughter.

In two thousand and twelve, Roboliac desperately needed another body. Netty, Jalaniac's daughter became pregnant but sadly the fetus seemed to be in danger. During this chaotic time, Roboliac realized she was losing her chance, especially when another alien tried to take the important fetus while she was trying to merge with it. If not for her loyal sisters stepping in at that moment, Roboliac would have been forced back to her beginning.

Roboliac surprised her sisters again when she realized she couldn't communicate with them after being completely merged with a human named Klam.

As Roboliac, now calling herself Klam, navigated a troubled time, she made a shocking discovery: her sister, Netty's last child, could turn into soil when hurt and later reformed. During this time Roboliac learned the startling truth about her sister, Swofiyah-she wasn't human, but a living part of the Earth. This realization filled Roboliac with dread as she grasped the heavy consequences for their intertwined fates.

The three aliens that had tried to abduct Klam earlier secretly attached themselves to Netty, turning her into an abusive mother. Norma, being the loving sister, felt it was necessary to take Netty to Priscilla, another sister with special voodoo powers.

Meanwhile, Dan, the powerful King of the Sky Beings, found himself irrevocably in love with a human, Priscilla's daughter, Marshane. Determined to carve out a different destiny for herself, Marshane took the bold step of traveling to China to teach English, seeking a future that diverged sharply from the one she had previously envisioned. The unsettling thought of growing old alone with nine cats, who would inevitably devour her body upon her death, served as a catalyst for her decision to teach English in Asia.

Unbeknownst to Marshane, the inner voice she had always relied on for guidance and understanding was none other than Dan himself, the revered king of the sky beings, often known as angels. In a twist of fate, he also happened to be her true love-an embodiment of justice tasked with being the punisher of all evil and vile things that roamed the earth. With a mere opening of his jaws, he possessed the power to make such malevolence simply vanish into thin air. Meanwhile, it became Dan's solemn duty to gather the sky beings once more now that Earth-known affectionately as Solstilert-was back to face the challenges ahead, requiring every last one of them to join the fight for its survival.

Would Roboliac and her sisters be able to set aside their longstanding differences to offer a helping hand in this dire time? And, crucially, would the humans possess the knowledge and resilience needed to confront the impending attaclaps? Most importantly, would Earth endure this formidable threat that loomed ominously on the horizon?
