Xenoplague

"A dark secret has been kept for over a thousand years,
but there is one who still remembers the truth."

Freshly discovered alien technology can be quite valuable on the market or it might kill you instantly. Cargo pilot Marc's discovery of an unmapped solar system full of Ash Alien artifacts might mean wealth for himself and his friend, Kera, or he could touch the wrong thing and blow up the small planetoid they're standing on. How could he have imagined that a new and powerful artifact would transform them and propel them onto a dangerous path that could alter the destiny of the Second Domain of Humanity?

Few survived the horrific surprise xenoplague attack by an enormous alien ship that destroyed fabled Earth over 1,200 years ago, leaving its toxic surface forever off-limits. By hybridizing and using the ancient alien's derelict ships, abandoned technology detritus, and their still-active interstellar transport Lines, humanity has re-established itself, spreading out into a pre-existing network of habitable solar systems using the Ash Alien's Gate system of portals.

Within the authoritarian structure of this enduring human society, trouble is now growing between the Midclass and the increasingly abusive Harbor Elites. Powerful visionary revelations give the Middies hope, but when midclass pilot Marc uncovers an unprecedented and highly dangerous artifact that he and Kera discover controls a massive alien craft, it places them into personal conflict with Marc's old nemesis, Anibale Prime Blue, one of the leading Elite contenders to become the next alien tech-enhanced supreme ruler of mankind known as ZEK.

This Second Domain of Humanity has itself long been at risk of another surprise attack and destruction from some other active doomsday ship, and Marc's discovery sets off a chain of events that could lead to that annihilation or to war and revolution throughout the widespread human worlds. He must keep his secret system hidden as ZEK and the Color Suite Primes compete to possess his active controller in a high-stakes game to acquire ultimate authority.

Who will attain it and brandish the power it represents? How will his and Kera's fates intertwine with others to use that power and influence a new destiny of humanity?

As tensions and stakes escalate, an ancient secret hides at the heart of the new human worlds.

Xenoplague is an epic science fiction fantasy novel from David P. Crews in the space-opera adventure style with high court politics and intrigue, space warfare, alien trans-dimensional paranormal and visionary aspects, and a wide view of future history and worldbuilding.
