X-Ray Vision: Tesla's Experiments and Reflections on the Discovery of X-Rays - Paperback

by Nikola Tesla (Author)

This volume gathers Nikola Tesla's writings and reflections on the newly discovered Roentgen rays-later known as X-rays-capturing a remarkable moment in the early history of modern physics. When Wilhelm Röntgen announced his discovery in 1895, scientists around the world began investigating the strange new radiation that could reveal the hidden structure of matter. Among those who quickly recognized its importance was the brilliant inventor Nikola Tesla.

In these writings, Tesla describes his own experiments with high-frequency electrical currents and vacuum tubes, exploring the properties and possibilities of the mysterious rays. His observations reveal both the excitement and the uncertainty surrounding this revolutionary discovery, as researchers struggled to understand the nature of the radiation and its potential applications in science and medicine.

Part scientific commentary and part historical document, X-Ray Vision: Nikola Tesla on Roentgen Rays offers readers a fascinating glimpse into the early exploration of a technology that would transform medicine, physics, and engineering. Tesla's reflections preserve the curiosity, ingenuity, and experimental spirit that defined the dawn of the electrical age.
