Why Can't I Be Happy-From Self-Hate to Self-Love - Hardcover

by Jamila Khan (Author)

"Why Can't I Be Happy" is for people who desperately want to transform their lives.

This book was written to bring awareness to everyday trauma and its devastating effects. Dr. Khan brings awareness to trauma and its impact through her personal stories of growing up in an abusive home and abusive culture. Khan was a victim of both subtle and outwardly recognizable trauma at a young age, which wreaked havoc in her early adulthood.

Through the powerful work of transformative education, Khan was able to reframe her trauma by looking at what actually happened and not just her feelings about what happened-providing clarity and insights and a different angle to approach the issue. Her childhood trauma, both recognizable and subtle, was transformed into stories of compassion, empathy, forgiveness, and understanding, allowing her to move forward, creating a life she loves.

Denied the right to an education, Jamila took responsibility for her life and completed her education to become a pastoral psychologist. Her experience from her travels, education, and faith has shaped the person she is today. This book will show you how to:

- Identify and transform your childhood trauma and the stories you tell yourself, which stops you from moving ahead.

- Create a life you love, moving from self-hate to self-love

- Get rid of negative thoughts and actions, replacing it with positive and inspiring stories which move you forward

This book will validate your feelings and help you understand that there is nothing wrong with you, you are not crazy, and you are not alone

By the end of Why Can't I Be Happy, you'll understand:

-

- Why you were created and your purpose on Earth

- How your false self was formed, who formed and re-enforced your false belief

- How to use the tools provided to reframe your childhood subtle and recognizable trauma

- How to regain your power, your self-Love and create a life you love

- How to gain compassion, empathy, and practice forgiveness

- How to form your relationship with your creator

You will have a greater understanding of yourself and the people in your lives. And finally, you will give up negative patterns ( excuses, blaming, lack of integrity, and self-hate) to become the person you were born to be.
