Praise for "Who Is It?" and PEC Books' Question Series

"Children with language delays find questions confusing and difficult to answer. Through an easy format that incorporates much needed repetition, these books provide children with the words that will help them to respond. The books give those children scripts in a colorful and interesting format that is bound to get their attention. The pictures will draw them in as the words help them to develop language skills." --Debra B. Crump, Special Education Consultant & Autism Information Specialist

What Is It? A Language Learning Book for Wonderful Kids with Autism

The ability to ask questions is a fundamental life skill. Asking questions not only enhances a child's learning potential, but is also critical to his or her safety and independence. Imagine living a single day without the capacity to identify objects in the world around you. "Who is it?" is a question critical to the social comfort and safety of every child.

This uniquely effective picture book is the cooperative effort of Parents, Experts, and Children (PEC). It is designed to teach wonderful kids with developmental delays like Autism Spectrum Disorders by minimizing learning interference elements and making use of the extraordinary gifts so many challenged children possess. Repeated readings help demonstrate the purpose of asking questions and encourage children to ask independently.
