When She Gets Conned - Paperback

by Miriam Allenson (Author)

She's not afraid to be a little manipulative for the right reason. When her son's future is on the line, how far will this Jewish mama go to bend the law?

Tootsie Goldberg is ready to make amends. But after setting her mind to fixing her messy relationship with her eldest son, the feisty fifty-something tipsily blurts out the wrong comment about his fiancée. And hoping to repair the damage by becoming friends with the extravagant woman, she stifles the gut instincts that scream there's something fishy about the beautiful bride-to-be.

Tortured by signs that the engagement is more gold-digging than sweet embraces, Tootsie tries to subtly pry into the newcomer's past. And while she waffles over how to point out the falsehoods and maintain the fragile connection with her boy, someone pushes her down an escalator.

Can she fill in the blanks before she ends up in the grave?

When She Gets Conned is the smart and sassy fifth book in The Tootsie Goldberg amateur sleuth series. If you like hot-mess heroines, intrigue mixed with romance, and heartfelt family dynamics, then you'll love Miriam Allenson's humorous road to happiness.
