Unsettled Spirits: A Historical Cozy Mystery - Paperback

by Alice Duncan (Author)

Death by Communion? Daisy's on the Case-Whether Sam Likes It or Not!

-1926, Pasadena, California-

Daisy Gumm Majesty-spiritualist to Pasadena's well-heeled elite (and occasional reluctant sleuth)-was expecting the usual fire-and-brimstone sermon at church, not a murder. But when parishioners start dropping dead after communion, things take a turn for the unholy.

Daisy's detective fiancé, Sam Rotondo, would prefer she stick to reading tea leaves and playing the piano, but when her crystal ball (which she absolutely does not believe in) reveals swaying trees, Daisy finds herself in the thick of a mystery. A missing butler, a den of bootleggers, and a poisoned chalice later, Daisy's up to her hatpin in trouble.

Worse yet, the man responsible has put Daisy at the top of his to-be-murdered list. Can she solve the case before she ends up on the wrong side of the pearly gates?

Alice Duncan spent years avoiding what she knew she should be doing-writing-by professionally folk dancing instead. Eventually, her muse won the battle, and she's been crafting engaging historical cozy mysteries ever since. Now a proud resident of Roswell, New Mexico, Alice enjoys the lack of smog and crowds while spoiling her beloved herd of wild dachshunds. Visit her at www.aliceduncan.net.

Don't miss a moment of the action with Daisy and her cadre of friends as they solve mysteries in 1920s Pasadena! Each story stands alone but is best enjoyed in order.
