by Ronald E. Bachman (Author)

"Understanding Healthcare Consumerism" is a compilation of prove processes, practical tools, credible resources, helpful worksheets, creative ideas, and short videos from over 35 years as an actuary, teacher and healthcare consultant at a major global firm. I have taught classes on Healthcare Consumerism and consulted with small and large employer plans (including Fortune 100 companies), national insurers, technology vendors, regional HMOs, hospitals, physician groups, and other stakeholders who sit around the healthcare table. I have presented several times before Congress, testified in over 30 states, and assisted multiple government agencies regarding health reform and new legislation. Most of you reading this book have been struggling for years to keep up with the changes in healthcare legislation, regulations, compliance, and litigation.
