Thriving: Are You Alive or Just Living? - Paperback

by David O'Conner (Author)

"THRIVING!!!" is the fourth book in a personal productivity series and the "reward" for having accomplished the work in the first three books. The first three books relay the benefits of dealing with life's challenges. "Getting to a GOOD PLACE" - Reducing the Impact of Stress, Worry, and Distraction on Your Well Planned Day. "Don't Give Away Your POWER" - Taking Control of Your Momentum, TODAY! "WEEDS" - Getting Your Past out of Your Present. If we can reduce the impact of stress, worry and distraction (SWD's), learn to boost power and create momentum instead of giving it away, and prompt ourselves to deal with regret, conflict, and difficult people in our lives: We are ready to THRIVE!!! Thriving is the ability to consistently pull personal momentum from things that are said, seen, or anticipated. I used to think of thriving as vacation time, financial success, celebrity status, or a really good meal; and I still do, but all of those things are circumstances where thriving exists for me. However, these things, events, or goals will end. The thriving for which we want to create awareness are little things that happen over and over, every day. So many times, we are too busy to see the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow because we are so angry about the rain! Thriving that lasts through the "rain" is that positive moment, or series of moments, that is sparked by a person's perspective. When we base our happiness or security on events, we find ourselves unhappy or insecure when those events come and go. The ability to thrive is powerful in that it gives us the opportunity to receive that "spark" at any given moment. The purpose of this book is to increase the frequency in which your perspective will notice "sparks" that will allow you to thrive. Remember, THRIVING is a choice and that choice is yours...
