by K. D. Field (Author)

On a journey where love and loyalty collide, two men will test the limits of their courage and their broken hearts.

The Weight of Fearsome Things unravels a tale of buried secrets and betrayal. Can family bonds survive the weight of the past, or will their journey to redemption destroy everything they hold dear?"

In The Weight of Fearsome Things, John Sullivan is a man haunted by the memories of his late wife, Tess, whose passing set him adrift in a sea of loneliness and regret. When his daughter, Pen, marries, John finds himself at a crossroads, confronted with the weight of his unresolved grief and the lingering echoes of an unkept pledge made a decade before.

With a heavy heart and a soul yearning for closure, John embarks on an extraordinary journey to fulfill Tess's final wish on the legendary Camino de Santiago, a grueling 800-kilometer trek across the rugged terrain of Northern Spain. But John's pilgrimage is not a solitary one.

Dr. Javier Silva, John's rival for Tess's affection, is at his side. United in grief and bound by their shared love for Tess, John and Javier set out together. But their footsteps echo with the weight of untold secrets and hidden truths.

As they traverse the ancient path of the Camino, John and Javier confront the ghosts of their past, grappling with hidden demons and the specter of unresolved family secrets. Along the way, the unrelenting forces of nature test them and the power of forgiveness.

Amidst the breathtaking beauty of the Spanish countryside, tensions simmer beneath the surface as worlds are shattered. Caught between their love for their children and betrayal, John and Javier must confront the ultimate question: will the revelations on their journey heal them or tear their families apart?
