The Voice of God - Paperback

by Diana Canales Rojas (Illustrator), Silvia Ledon (Author)

How do our children know that God is available to them?

The Voice of God is a literary award winner. It is beautifully written and brilliantly illustrated to slowly and gently awaken your child to the reality of the presence of God, which is everywhere. You and your child will discover together how to recognize God's voice. Ears are not needed!

We do not search for it far and wide, but we find it near us:

• In nature
• In warm hugs from loved ones
• In silent moments of reflection
• In laughter.

This book encourages gratitude, attentiveness, mindfulness, and the art of recognizing God in the everyday.

It includes 2 reflection questions as well as an appendix titled "Some of the Things God is Always Saying".
These will spark further mediation, conversation, and connection between children and their adults.

God is always speaking to me.

God's voice is not like the voice of a person.

I don't need my ears to hear it.

When I pay attention, I can recognize it...

Great book for cuddling up or reading at bedtime. You will want to come back to it again and again!

See what people are saying!"I've longed for years for my two kids to know that God is speaking. As I flipped through every page with my 7 yr old, his imagination was ignited and his little heart moved. Thank you Silvia Ledon for bringing this delightful work of art into the world. This is a resource every Parent needs."

"Those in the church, those who've been disenfranchised from the church, and all who are seeking to know God will find this book to be a helpful resource. The Voice of God may even be used as a devotional, and included discussion questions make it useful for study and reflection with all the children in your life. I highly recommend this book for personal use and in worship and church school settings."

The Rev. Christopher D. Carr, Pastor at First English Evangelical Lutheran Church, Richmond, Virginia

"The Voice of God invites children and their adults to consider how God might be speaking within the events of everyday life. This book makes space for encounters with the living God, I recommend it with joy."

Lacy Finn Borgo, DMin. Author of Spiritual Conversations with Children: Listening to God, Together.

"What an extraordinary book with such an important message! We wish all children would have the opportunity to have this read to them at least once, if not 100 times! Actually, all adults need to read this too, the message is true, gentle, and such a powerful reminder that God is with us!

Jeremy and Monica Chambers, Authors of The Art of Missional Spirituality: 31 Sacred Practices for Jesus Followers.

"If I could pass along only one skill to my children, it would be how to hear the voice of God. This book is not only delightful to read but so extremely effective to teach a child how to have a relationship with God. Grab this tool, I mean, book right now!!"

Hannah Keeley, Founder of Mom Mastery Academy.
