A girl is murdered. A conspiracy unfolds. And ten strangers find themselves unwitting participants in a grand scheme by a shadowy group known only as the Quad.

When aspiring actress Raelynn Bailey attends a glamorous Mardi Gras party at the governor's mansion, she expects an evening of celebration. Instead, she finds herself entangled in a web of murder, magic, and romance after discovering a body in the mansion's library. The only bright spot is her instant connection with the charming Jaser Parrish, the governor's senior special assistant.

As the investigation into Lola Vasquez's murder unfolds, Rae's life becomes increasingly complicated.
