The Principles of Earned Value Management: A Cost and Schedule Control System - Paperback

by James Kudzal (Author)

Earned Value Management (EVM) is a system that allows a manager to determine whether a project is on track to meet its cost and schedule objectives. If not on track, the system provides tools to assist in the isolation of the source of the problems. This book is designed to serve a variety of needs on the subject. As a textbook, it can be used by the novice to learn the topics step by step, or by an instructor to provide supplementary course materials and exercises. As a reference manual, it provides the practitioner with a handy source of application examples, definitions, and formulas. In addition to the standard Earned Value Management system, some new concepts are presented here that expand upon the mainstream of EVM practice. There is also a discussion of Earned Schedule for time analysis and forecasting. We think you'll find them useful.
