The Hypnosis I Know - Paperback

by Dawn Wheeler (Author)

People generally want to be happy, healthy, comfortable and successful. So, why are so many people experiencing the very opposite of what they desire most? The answer lies somewhere in the subconscious. The vehicle to get us there is hypnosis. The tool of hypnosis has been around for centuries, yet very few people in the world have taken advantage of this extraordinarily powerful healing modality. The fact that hypnosis has long been portrayed in a negative way doesn't help. Movies, TV and stage shows propagate the idea that hypnosis is mysterious, manipulative, humiliating and something to fear. As if that is not troubling enough, many hypnosis practitioners add to the problem by perpetuating limited perceptions as well. The Hypnosis I Know, challenges the typical party-line view and understanding of hypnosis and the mind. With over 16 years experience as a certified hypnotherapist, Dawn Wheeler confronts differences and controversies within the field, breaks through limited perspectives, and offers what she believes to be safer and more effective approaches. Some of the more spiritual and energetic aspects of hypnosis are also explored. Case examples are provided to help clarify and illustrate many topics of discussion, as well as demonstrate hypnosis' versatility and often miraculous results. Take a journey into the body-mind connection and get to know The Hypnosis I Know.
