Aaron Robertson is a writer, journalist, and translator from Italian. His nonfiction debut, The Black Utopians: Searching for Paradise and the Promised Land in America, was a finalist for the Los Angeles Times Book Prize for History, the Hooks National Book Award, and the Zora Award for Nonfiction, and was named a New York Times Notable Book. His translation of Beyond Babylon by Igiaba Scego was shortlisted for the PEN Translation Prize and the National Translation Award. A recipient of support from the National Endowment for the Arts, Creative Capital, and the Tulsa Artist Fellowship, he has written for The New York Times, Foreign Policy, The Nation, and other publications.
