The Bible is a Goldmine - Paperback

by Clarice Smith (Author)

Have you ever thought of the Bible as a goldmine? It is full of treasure! Remember the parable of the pearl of great price? Pearls and gold are both highly valued in this world's economy. But the Bible contains gems worth more than the "gold of Ophir." The Psalmist says, "They [the decrees of the Lord] are more precious than gold, than much pure gold" (Ps. 19:10, NIV). He also declared, "The law from your mouth is more precious to me than thousands of pieces of silver and gold" (Ps. 119:72, NIV).

Poet Clarice Smith has a way of encouraging the reader to mine for the gold of the Bible. In the crisp, meaningful lines of free verse in this volume, you'll discover some of the gems in the Book of books.

Worth more than diamonds, Shines brighter than the sun, Newer than morning news, More fruit than a fruit cake.Speaks loud ever so soft and clear;Love contains blessings overflowing;Verses so old but ever so new, One Message all the way through.
