The Alabama Cowboy - Paperback

by Clay Mercer (Author)

The Alabama Cowboy tells the story of Cash Roberts, a former professional rodeo cowboy, a former world champion team roper, now a stockman, raising horses and cattle in South Alabama who suddenly finds himself grieving over the sudden demise of his wife of forty years. Desperate to survive and aware that he must think and plan for his future, Cash realizes that thinking and planning are impossible tasks when every aspect of his surroundings reminds him of Bobbi, the woman he has loved since the first moment they met. Cash's instinct tells him that he must go away by himself if he wants to regain any sense of purpose. He decides that his best option is a secluded guest ranch in Meagher County, Montana, as close to the middle of nowhere as he could get.

Author Clay Mercer presents another compelling tale that deals with the intricacies of human relationships while exploring the everyday jobs inherent to a working cattle ranch. Yet, even in the beauty and unspoiled wilderness of rural Montana, Cash Roberts finds the intrigues and the crime, the vices and filth of modern society.
