Sometimes I Feel Anxious - Paperback

by Simone Harris (Author)

In this warm, understanding reflection on postpartum anxiety, Simone Harris brings to light the realities of a common struggle, helping moms, dads, and kids to feel a little more empathy for each other.

Postpartum life can hit like a freight train. When your emotions take a tumble, it's good to know you're not alone. Sometimes I Feel Anxious is a clever, honest, and sometimes humorous story about a first-time mom going through her postpartum journey.

Tackling postpartum depression's less-talked-about cousin, postpartum anxiety, Simone Harris draws on her own candid experiences during the early months of raising her first son. Women who experience anxiety often struggle to describe their experiences, but Harris has words enough for all. With beautiful illustrations and vivid language, this book brings to light the silent emotions that mothers experience.

A great resource for families to talk through together, Sometimes I Feel Anxious will help husbands understand the mothers of their children better. It will also help children connect to what their moms have experienced in the early years of parenthood. Best of all, it helps mothers find ways to express themselves, like writing in a journal, talking to their loved ones, or even shouting at the top of their lungs. With a friendly, relatable tone, Sometimes I Feel Anxious gives space to big feelings, helping moms know they are not alone.
