Proceed with Kaution: A Collierville Heights Tale: Trap - Paperback

by Unique (Author)

Khyana was focused. She had built some stability around her fragile mindset over the last six years and was determined to keep herself from any nonsense that would cause her to lower her guard. Whether that nonsense was a relationship or anything related to the matters of her heart, Khyana wanted no parts. Continuing to advance her successful business, attending her scheduled therapy appointments, and hanging with her best friend when she wasn't occupied with another, Khyana was pleased with her mundane life. Little did she know that simply wanting a decent, safe meal during a lunch break would have her meeting someone who would have her doing everything she had avoided since her last heartbreak.

Kheoric, or Trap to his set, had one goal after being released from prison: to do whatever he needed to not find himself behind those concrete walls again. With a plan to do more than bust his gun as he had done since he was fifteen years old, Trap knew he had to move forward with his life even though he had lost six years of it behind a woman not worth the attempted murder charge. Stuck between his childhood memories, the comfortability of his past, and his need for peace in his future, Trap felt the pressure of the little Devil constantly dancing on his shoulder. But meeting a little cutie with a big booty-and a bigger appetite-may be the trigger Trap needs to do the inner work to thrive after all the turmoil he's experienced.

As Khyana and Kheoric navigate the complexities of friendship, trauma, and love, they realize that healing for themselves isn't enough. All in Collierville are warned to Proceed with Kaution once intentions are made because Trap and his boys, Hendrix, Dreaux, and Supreme, are known to protect and honor everything they love, including their women and each other.
