Overcoming the Strongman: A Handbook On Spiritual Warfare - Paperback

by Ravindra Shiwnandan (Author)

OVERCOMING THE STRONGMAN - A Handbook On Spiritual Warfare has covered almost every area which had been previously hidden, though in plain sight. It shed light on some areas that have been overlooked by the church to her disadvantage. It lays the foundation which exposes that this conflict is not localized to denominations or geography, but it is a universal human spiritual conflict. Many topics covered in this work highlight events not generally referenced. The author's discipline as a medical doctor informs his exposition of the book's theme, particularly in the chapters on Warfare Realities. The spirit world can be seen, so he calls on the development of spiritual sensitivity. Truth wins, so we should embrace a Biblical worldview to be successful. Since vision affects the outcome of the war we fight, enhancing our perceptive abilities will make us victorious. Unlike many works written on the same theme; the writer considers the physiological and psychological dimensions as also being important in determining one's perspective which is vital in overcoming the Strongman. The natural and psychological perceptions are aspects that are rarely ever addressed in works on spiritual warfare. Our understanding of Satan and the strongholds he sets up will expose the secrets of the war, thus enabling us to overcome the Strongman. Wherever or at whatever level you are in the conflict, OVERCOMING THE STRONGMAN will significantly benefit you since it touches every aspect of spiritual warfare. I consider Dr. Shiwnandan's book and knowledge on this aspect of spiritual warfare unparalleled. I strongly recommend this book as a resource not only for pastors or church leaders or workers but also for the serious students of the Bible and for the individual Christian who is seeking to live victoriously.
