Never Look Back!: The Path to Real Professionalism - Paperback

by Alper Kul (Author)

It is a book on TRUTH...It is about YOU...It is a book about hope, the intellect, love...Human Resources lies at the root of our problems.Dear readers, upon reading the book you will be confused for this is an unusual book.First of all, it is written as a dialogue... Second, it touches on many topics. So, I'll tell you what it is not and you'll figure out yourself what it is.And then I'll tell you about the biggest problem the world faces. What is this book merely not?It is not just a personal development book...It is not just a social development book...It is not just a book on career systems and development...It is not just a book talking about Muhtar Kent, Chairman of Coca Cola for the first time...It is not just a book on why Professor Mehmet Öz (Dr. Oz) is one the most professional and well-known doctor in the world...It is not just a book telling who Professor Onur Güntürkün is for the first time...It does not just contain unemployment numbers and analysis...It is not just a book on global economy and developments...It is not just a book on sectors on the rise...It is not just a book on some hints to a successful business life...It is not just a book on technique associated with shaping your resume...It is not just a book that drags certain sectors in the mud...It is not just a book on the Career Train...It is not just a book on the lamentable state of being of the real economy...It is not just a book on how to land a job or the fact that the hardest thing in life is finding a rewarding and pleasing job...* * *I have worked at many firms, and I have many friends and acquaintancesworking in the most important firms and institutions in the world. The word around the campfire is "The management is problematic here!"The truth is, although this statement is true it is incomplete and mistaken. The basic issue of many countries including countries in the Middle East, Central Asia, and the Mediterranean, and even in the developed world, like US and others, has to do with human resources. Please do not take the term "human resources" too technically in the literal sense. It has a wide and well-rounded coverage. We are not talking about the job two HR managers can dish up, but a much more special and deeper system and principle. It is in this sense that the basic and most urgent issue of the whole world it is Human Resources...We encounter problems related to human resources and resultant management issues wherever we go, including political parties, factories, schools, sports clubs and associations, universities, municipalities, civil non-governmental bodies, trade associations and agricultural cooperatives. The essential matter here is the frenetic increase of population, and unplanned and unpredictable urbanization, and the ensuing chaos, depression, lack of empathy, and an unsoundlife. It all has to do with love for humanity and focus on quality, with actually implementing intellect and science, with having prudence and a long-term look at events. We are in dire need of leaders and systems that will bring forth quality for it is a quality that breeds the correct human resource. An approach focused on profits and profits only has crashed in Eastern Mediterranean countries as well as big countries such as the US. As the eminent writer Amin Maalouf has stated, the world has entered the new century without a compass. In the book, I aim to tackle issues with a 360 approach. I wish you a pleasant business life where you can become a real professional and a life is superb as the five-wings windmill.Alper KUL
