My Little Black Book: A Hottie Cookbook for Men: Featuring Five-Ingredient Recipes and Beverage Pairings - Paperback

by Jan Wilmoth-Ostop (Author)

Writing this Hottie Cookbook for Men started years ago with the sole purpose of teaching guys that cooking a crowd-pleasing or intimate meal paired with appropriate beverages does not have to be a nightmare. Author Jan Wilmoth-Ostop, a farm girl from Wisconsin, remembers growing up with great food, but no money. Even when it seemed there was nothing in the fridge or on the shelves, the ladies in Jan's family could throw together amazing meals. As a young helper in the kitchen, Jan learned to work with a combination of very few ingredients to get restaurant-quality results. She presents very easy food and beverage pairings that don't involve hours shopping at grocery or liquor stores, yet will impress even the most discerning palates. With just five wisely chosen ingredients per recipe, you can prepare mouth-watering appetizers, soups, salads, sandwiches, side dishes, main dishes and desserts. Pair your food choice with an appropriate virgin or alcoholic beverage, and you've got the perfect combo. To set this cookbook apart from other five-ingredient cookbooks, Jan sought out her photographer friend, Lenda Schuehle from LJM Photography in Colorado Springs, Colorado (http: //www.ljm-photography.com). Lenda photographed local ladies and shares her photos, meant to inspire and provide a little something different to ignite your creative culinary juices! Jan Wilmoth-Ostop is a clinical speech/language pathologist in Colorado Springs, Colorado. "From early childhood, I remember cooking and baking on our northern Wisconsin dairy farm. My family and extended family lived on adjacent farms, and as one unit, we spent harvesting days and nights butchering, canning and freezing for the winter days ahead."
