More Than A Conqueror - Paperback

by L. R. Johannes (Author)

A group of lawyers secretly going about life's struggles never imagined how
much their lives would cross paths beyond the office or courtroom. Naomi,
the aspiring go-getter has her eyes set on becoming a partner in the firm
and isn't about to let anything deter her focus. Except maybe the constant
imaginary figure of her God-fearing mother relentlessly reminding her
of a broken younger brother still reeling from memories of ghosts past
positioned snuggly on her shoulder. No matter how she tries to free herself
it is only a matter of time before she is mentally pulled back. She gets a bit of
peace when speaking with Alexander one the firm's partners but it is short
lived as he always finds a way to preach to her. And there is nothing more
difficult to listen to when your faith has taken a significant blow and is on
life support, barely hanging on, then someone telling you how good God is.
This while trying to distance herself from Charles one of the founding
partners of the law firm whose romantic persistence is uncunning.
However, he will not take NO for an answer and doesn't have any
issues inflating his supposed-to-be debonair status and dominance.
She flees his advances at every turn not only because she is in no way
attracted to him but also because Charles is engaged to be married to
Cheryl the office executive assistant. Cheryl has convinced herself she has
a battle to win as she is not about to lose the opportunity to be seen as the
Wife of a Partner of a prestigious law firm to any other woman. She has
paid her dues and is finally ready to enjoy the reward. But our plans are not
always God's plan and he has a way of getting our attention. More than a
Conqueror destroys the line between perfect people and real-life Christians.
