Mainframe Revival: Embracing Containerization - Paperback

by Isaac Nangan (Author)

In the realm of computing, two seemingly divergent worlds have coexisted: the robust, time-tested world of mainframes and the agile, rapidly evolving universe of containerization. This book, "Mainframe Revival: Embracing Containerization," is born from a vision to harmonize these two worlds, leveraging the strengths of each to revolutionize how we think about enterprise computing.

Mainframes have been the backbone of critical business operations for decades, renowned for their reliability, scalability, and security. However, in an era increasingly dominated by cloud computing and microservices, mainframes are often perceived as relics of a bygone era. This perception overlooks their potential to play a crucial role in modern IT infrastructures, especially when combined with contemporary technologies like containerization.

Containerization, on the other hand, represents a paradigm shift in how applications are developed, deployed, and managed. It offers flexibility, efficiency, and portability, enabling applications to run consistently across various computing environments. The fusion of containerization with the power and reliability of mainframes opens up a new frontier for enterprise computing.

This book is designed for IT professionals, system architects, developers, and business leaders looking to integrate containerization into their mainframe environments. Whether you are new to the concept of containerization, a seasoned expert in mainframe technologies, or somewhere in between, this book aims to provide valuable insights and practical guidance.
