Living Vision: The Spiritual Secrets of Neville Lancelot Goddard - Paperback

by Joseph a. Marcello (Author)

'Living Vision--The Spiritual Secrets of Neville Lancelot Goddard' is the first and only written archive featuring the personal spiritual practices of the famous 20th century mystic, who enjoyed a meteoric career enlightening thousands who regularly attended his talks in New York, and later, Los Angeles, from the late 1930's through the early 1970's. Born in Barbados in 1905, he was told as a boy by a native psychic that he would be the first of 10 siblings to leave home and travel to the New World (America) and be one of only 3 human beings to achieve a unique mission on earth. Neville was an immensely gifted natural mystic whose teachings emerged from a life of first-hand experiences of the Divine and centered upon the life-transforming effects of the power of the Imagination. Late in his life he broadened his message to include the critical importance of experiencing the 'birth from above, '--the spiritual baptism into one's True Identity, which he called 'The Promise.' While intimately linked to the power of the Imagination, he nevertheless regarded it as a transcendent and final awakening destined for all. While he wrote almost a dozen books and countless talks have been made available, almost all of these concern his popular message on creative use of the Imagination; until now, there have been no books which reveal the personal techniques he practiced from the moment he met his charismatic mentor, Abdullah, throughout his life, techniques which ranged far beyond the sole use of the imagination for realization of dreams--including meditation, mind-empowerment, bilocation, moving beyond the body and becoming conscious while dreaming and entering into and exploring dream dimensions. 'Living Vision - The Secret Teachings of Neville Lancelot Goddard' reveals 50 powerful techniques which empower those who practice them to move beyond the limits of earthly existence and into unexplored regions of the soul. It is a rare and unique glimpse into the personal insights and practices of one of the greatest mystics of our time. "Neville Goddard was one of the quietly dramatic and supremely influential teachers in the New Thought field for many years...In a simple, yet somehow elegant one-hour lecture, Neville was able to clarify the nature of God and God's relationship to every person. He spoke of God in intimate terms as though he knew god very well, which he did." Roy Eugene Davis "The words of spiritual teacher Neville Goddard retain their power to electrify . . . he captured the sheer logic of creative-mind principles as perhaps no other figure of his era."
