Just One Bible? Why I am NOT a King James Only Advocate!: An Apologetic For The Faith - Paperback

by Charles Craig Lantz (Author)

This book provides answers to those who claim that the King James Version is the only legitimate Word of God for English speaking people. This investigative work examines the allegations that the modern versions of the English Bible are aberrant, and that the translators had a conspiracy to corrupt the Scriptures to lead believers away from the Christian faith. This unique investigation is unlike any other apologetic for the Word of God, and will show the evidence that Christianity has an embarrassment of riches of ancient manuscript support. This book will help the reader to understand that since 1611 more manuscripts have been discovered to convince scholars that the early text of the New Testament is found in the Alexandrian text-type. This book will explore KJVO material that is replete with colossal illogical arguments of the indefensible King James Only position. The author has gone the extra mile to explore the background of the three main Greek New Testament Texts: the Textus Receptus, the Majority Text, and the Eclectic Text. The author is convinced that the rational conclusion is the "eclectic" approach to New Testament textual criticism in determining the IDENTITY OF THE TEXT OF THE NEW TESTAMENT.
