In Plainest Sight: The Discovered Journals of Heinz Linge, Valet to Adolf Hitler (A Fly on the Wall Book 2) - Paperback

by M. L. Winitsky (Author)

Heinz Linge--an orphan, hardscrabble street urchin, petty criminal, and former apprentice bricklayer--is mysteriously selected by Hitler to serve as his principal valet.

Blessed (or cursed) with a concealed genius intellect and eidetic memory, Linge gradually becomes aware of the nature, scope, and horrors of the Third Reich, particularly the Final Solution. Losing the love of his life, deaf Klara, to the Reich's euthanasia program turns him from an indifferent menial into a cold and calculating clandestine renegade.

Employing his occupational invisibility and special mental gifts, Linge works to undermine Hitler's war strategies in subtle yet dangerous ways: misplacing or concocting documents, controlling access and visitations, and manipulating his boss through fabricated supernatural visions and interpretations--all at great personal risk.

But are these visions and interpretations mere fabrications? Moreover, Linge is not the only one with a secret occult agenda. Others, determined to maintain their own influence over Hitler, will stop at nothing to protect their power--even if it means murdering Linge.

Desiring to bring down the Third Reich, Linge focuses his mission on dismantling the monstrous power of Himmler, Göring, Goebbels, and all who sustain the regime's horrors. Yet, paradoxically, he is gripped by an almost irrational need to preserve Hitler at all costs.

Torn between his hatred for the Reich and his obsessive filial loyalty to its leader, Linge must walk a razor's edge. Friends and foes alike are kept at bay while being brilliantly manipulated, as he navigates a perilous path of isolation and secrecy, where every choice could shatter his fragile mission--or his very soul.

This harrowing tale delves deep into the psyche of a special man sequestered within history's deadliest regime, offering an intimate, unsettling perspective on life inside the highest levels of the Nazi Party.
