by David Allen Lawrence (Author), Debra Anne Ross Lawrence (Author)

I SEE MATH: THE BASICS - THINK VISUALLY - DISCOVER YOUR MATH BRILLIANCE. Do you think you have "math brilliance"? If not, it is because of the way math is taught. The usual way math is taught, by rote using a jumble of words and symbols, just doesn't work for everyone. We live in a picture-based world, so why can't we learn math visually using pictures, diagrams, and clear presentation? With I SEE MATH you will SEE how to add, subtract, multiply, and divide. You will SEE what fractions, decimals, and percents really are, and how and why they can easily be converted from one to another. So, are you ADD, ADHD, or dyslexic? Or do you just hate math? Don't be discouraged! You can learn to SEE MATH with this pioneering, inventive, breakthrough approach to SEEING MATH! Author of top selling Master Math books: Basic Math and Pre-Algebra, Algebra, Geometry, Pre-Calculus, Trigonometry, Calculus, and Essential Physics. RECOMMENDED: "Understanding and assimilating the basic concepts of mathematics is critical to all of us. Our daily lives depend on having a working knowledge of how to manipulate whole numbers, decimal numbers or fractions using addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication. Learning these skills is often challenging. The "I See Math" series offers a refreshingly novel and engaging means of acquiring proficiency with these techniques. It relies on developing visual cues associated with each of the mathematical operations. In a world that is rapidly evolving to one where visual communication is becoming the norm, the "I See Math" approach effectively exploits this trend and offers a means of learning that is substantially more aligned with today's behavioral practices than more traditional strategies. For this reason, whether you or someone you know have in the past struggled to learn basic mathematical skills or have simply become a bit rusty, "I See Math" will readily remedy that situation." Professor Channing Robertson, School of Engineering, Stanford University. "As I read this book, I was very excited that I could finally SEE Math. I wish I had been taught this way! It is how math should be taught. Simply put--it makes me understand what is going on. When I was in school I did well in Basic Math, but struggled with Algebra and Geometry. Just like most people, I realized this struggle with higher math came from my view of Basic Math as numbers and problems I needed to memorize. Not really understanding, or SEEING, Basic Math made the more complicated concepts unnecessarily difficult! If I had learned Basic Math from I SEE MATH, more complicated concepts would have come naturally to me. This book is a breakthrough in Math education! In fact, this book actually teaches itself. Not only does it allow students to easily SEE math, but it allows Teachers to use it directly to simply show students Basic Math concepts." Maggie Ross, Senior Telecom Project Manager (Retired).
