Hunting Booger Bottom LP - Paperback

by Michael Waddell (Author), Mike Schoby (Author)

"Michael [Waddell] is the real McCoy. Down to earth, clever, genuine, well-grounded, funny as all hell, kind, generous, decent, and surely one of the best natural hunters and woodsmen that I have ever grilled a sacred backstrap with." --Ted Nugent

From hunting legend Michael Waddell, star of multiple Outdoor Channel programs, comes a poignant and funny book about growing up in rural Georgia: Hunting Booger Bottom. Waddell offers priceless anecdotes from his lifetime of hunting with the fascinating--and often hilarious--cast of characters he's met along the way. Breathtaking and dramatic, filled with practical advice and indelible folk wisdom--and a foreword by Ted Nugent--Hunting Booger Bottom offers an impassioned defense of sport hunting and is a must-read for anyone who has ever wandered the woods with "a stick and a string" (as Waddell refers to his bow.)

Front Jacket

Booger Bottom, in rural Georgia, has no road signs, no stoplights, no stores. Nobody knows how it got its name, whether from the mythical booger--part panther, part wild dog--that is rumored to have roamed there, or from the Feds (boogers) who raided local moonshine stills during Prohibition. Today Booger Bottom's most famous product is Michael Waddell, one of the world's most accomplished hunters.

Growing up in this wild land near the Chattahoochee River, Waddell was blessed with two great gifts: a wonderful father who stoked his passion for hunting, and endless time in which to pursue it. He eventually left the backwoods of Georgia to stalk elk, moose, caribou, wildebeest, eland, and everything in between, from Alaska to Africa.

Mixing Waddell's best hunting stories with hilarious anecdotes about the people he's met along the way, Hunting Booger Bottom is a must-read for anyone who has ever wandered into the woods with a stick and a string.
