How I Overcame Depression: With Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation - Paperback

by Tamara Rhoades-Baldwin (Author)

Do you have depression? Have you tried several anti-depressants (or exercise, eating right, or therapy) and still don't feel fully functional? Tamara Rhoades-Baldwin describes her 30-year journey with severe recurring depression in her ebook, sharing alternative treatments she's tried and how Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) ultimately put her depression into remission. She explains how to get the support of your loved ones so they can identify when you're on a downward trend, how various alternative treatments have helped her along the way, and exactly what happens when you decide to pursue TMS. Having been through TMS three times at different facilities, Tamara shares aspects of the procedure that should be typical for anyone who does it. TMS enhances the quality of life for a large percentage of those who go through it. She describes what you can expect throughout the process--from getting a referral to going to your first treatment, and when you can anticipate results. She explains the PHQ-9 depression questionnaire and shares pictures of herself at various points during her most recent treatment. Tamara says, "It didn't just give me my life back. It gave me a life I never could have imagined was possible."
