Hearing from the Father - Paperback

by Mike Mercer (Author)

ARE YOU LIVING A LIFE WITHOUT HOPE, SIMPLY EXISTING FROM DAY TO DAY, NOT CERTAIN WHAT TOMORROW WILL BRING? Do you feel crushed by the weight of society's accusations against you? Defeated by the words of others who judge you inadequate? Are you fearful and helpless in the current, overwhelming circumstances of your life? Do you question if you even know what hope looks like, or if you are destined to ever embrace its empowering warmth? If so, please know that you are not alone - in fact you are in the majority of people walking the earth today! The author spent most of his life living in that same place, chasing the temporal pleasures and distractions this world has to offer, accepting its oppression disguised as reality, daily finding himself awakening in a lost and lonely place...until the Father revealed Himself, and in the process made known the true source of hope. We were not created merely to survive, or to waste our lives in the frivolous pursuit of busyness, or temporal worldly acquisitions. Each of us was created to love and be loved, to experience the fulfillment of living the life we were designed for, and to encounter the deep passion of community with others. Far from the lies the world desperately seeks to define us with, we have in fact each been created with a magnificent purpose. In this collection of short writings accumulated over the past decade - some recounting personal experiences of the author and others simply shared directly from the heart of the Father - you will come to better understand where much of our emotional chaos, fear and anxiety originate from, and how we can choose to not fall prey to that dark and debilitating deception any longer. There is hope!
