He Never Left Me: The Unexpected Transition - Hardcover

by Dena Rachelle Davison (Author)

With raw transparency, the author tells of her journey of growing up in old-school Pentecostal religion, to living in the LGBT+ community for the better part of thirty years, to finding spiritual freedom when she was shown a different view of God and Christianity at the age of fifty-two. She discusses her battles with addictions, severe anxiety, depression, self-harm and suicidal tendencies. Written for Christians and non-Christians alike, LGBT+ and straight, this book stresses the significance of loving all people like Jesus loves all of us, right where they are. The author emphasizes that we do not have to change anything to be loved and accepted by God; and that it is not our place to try to change people. Only God can do that, and we should let Him handle His business. Controversial and entertaining, this book will reassure you that you are never alone; and contrary to what some of us are taught, you can be same sex attracted and still live a life that is pleasing to God. You simply have to open your heart and mind completely and allow God to be your guidance.
