When Rodolfo Hernández leaves Cuba alone for the United States, he believes he is leaving uncertainty behind. But the real challenge is just beginning.

Nine years after Fidel Castro's rise to power, the young Rodolfo Hernández is forced to leave Cuba and travel alone to the United States. What was supposed to be the beginning of a new life soon becomes a path full of uncertainty.

In Miami, Rodolfo finds himself under the roof of his uncle Arturo, a man marked by a mysterious past and a hardness that seems to hide deep wounds. As he tries to adapt to a new country, a new language, and an unfamiliar culture, Rodolfo must also face the stresses of a turbulent time, marked by the Vietnam War and the unsettling news coming from Cuba.

Everything changes when he begins his senior year at Miami High and meets Lissy, an intelligent and generous young woman who offers to help him find his place in that new world. But Rodolfo, overwhelmed by his own fears and prejudices, misinterprets his intentions. That mistake will become one of the biggest regrets of your life.

With the passage of time, Rodolfo will understand that Lissy not only represented a sincere friendship but also a door to his future.

Now he must face a decision that could change everything: return to Cuba to discover the truth about his family and himself.

Havana: A Son's Journey Home: A moving story about love, loss, exile, and the long road to redemption.
