The Blanchard Witches: Half Sick of Shadows is a gripping continuation of the Blanchard family saga, blending contemporary fantasy with supernatural intrigue. As Demitra Blanchard steps into her role as the matriarch of the family, she carries the weight of recent tragedies as she tries to push her fractured family forward. The fall of the House of Duquesne left deep scars-both emotional and physical-on the Blanchards.Among the lingering aftermath is the joint sacrifice of Trix and Echo, who, through the use of magical shapeshifting, have taken on the identity of their late sister Tess to carry and protect her unborn children. Their selfless act exemplifies the lengths the Blanchards will go to for love and family.

Meanwhile, Yasmine and Seth Blanchard, once beloved members of the family, now walk the earth as rampaging vampires, leaving their children forever damaged by the betrayal. As Demitra works to heal the family and guide them toward a new normal, a dangerous new player enters the scene-a time-jumping assassin intent on erasing the Blanchard lineage by targeting their ancestors in the past. And as if the new matriarch's hands were not full enough, a new trouble comes knocking at Demitra's door as a national news correspondent investigating the events at The House of Duquesne, follows the trail right to the Blanchards.

The family must come together once again, using their unique magical abilities and unbreakable unity to confront threats that span generations and dimensions. Amid the chaos, the Blanchards wrestle with their individual grief, guilt, and unasked for transformations. And as Salem questions the price her family has paid to keep an oblivious world protected, and the burden involved in keeping her world secret...she begins to contemplate if it is time to step out of the shadows and tell the world who they are and what they have done for them.
