Author Biography

Mario B. Long is a Detroit-born manga creator, game producer, and entrepreneur based in Tokyo, Japan. He is the founder and president of Sakura-Phoenix Studios, one of the first Black-owned manga and game-production companies in Japan. Under his leadership, the studio launched the manga series God Tier, and Long regularly appears at major international comics and anime conventions to promote the studio's work. With over 20 years of residence in Japan, Long has become a cross-cultural figure in the manga industry, advocating for increased diversity and global creator collaboration.
