God and the Bible Simply: For the 21st Century - Hardcover

by Tom Hockman (Author)

The Bible is not a draw for twenty-first century people! How many times have you vowed to read the Bible from front to back only to stop with absolutely no clue as to God's intended message? Whether a New Year's resolution, a group Bible study goal, or a personal benchmark, reading the Bible is difficult, laborious, and often confusing and contradictory. Additionally, there is a disinterest from the new generation toward God's word and an overall distancing from many toward Christianity in general. In his 45 years of teaching adult Bible study, Tom Hockman has grappled with providing his students with an easy and comprehendible way to study God's word. Co-founder of Quadax, Inc., a national healthcare technology and services company, Tom returned to his most successful business tactic in order to translate the Bible to his oft-perplexed colleagues...keep it simple! With that objective, God and the Bible Simply was born. His purpose in creating this brief read was to provide those with interest a fresh, new approach to Biblical understanding. In the time it takes to watch the nightly news, you can obtain an understanding of God's plan for your life. If your twenty-first century mind has trouble connecting with a first century version of the Bible and Jesus, you will appreciate Tom's clear, concise, and brief approach to believing the unbelievable! Tom Hockman has been a leader of Methodist adult Bible study for the past 45 years. He is a graduate of Ohio Wesleyan and Case Institute of Technology. Tom co-founded Quadax, Inc. in 1973, a healthcare revenue cycle technology company servicing hospitals and laboratories nationally. His current interests include farming, tennis, providing words of wisdom to his four grandchildren, and continuing to help lead the mission of Quadax.
