From darkness to Light - Paperback

by Ruby Sue (Author)

"Jesus never gave up on me, even throughout all my stubbornness. He freed me from my life of darkness and brought me into His light."

Those who have experienced abuse, neglect, and addiction encounter dark times in life when it seems impossible to ever find healing. Yet God always has a way of delivering His children from the darkness to His ever-embracing light.

Ruby Sue can testify to such a deliverance as she endured abuse, neglect, and addiction for most of her life. Beginning in her childhood, the neglect and mental abuse inflicted on her by her parents affected her psychological development to the point where she was scared to speak or act like a normal child. Longing for love, but not finding it, she turned to meth, crack cocaine, and weed in her teenage years to suppress her anxiety and experience temporary happiness. Life continued to be cruel as she married a narcissistic man and endured an over twenty-year abusive relationship with him.

Praying for salvation to deliver her and her children from danger, she turned to God and found deliverance.

From darkness to Light is the raw and inspiring account of Sue's journey of deliverance from the abuse, neglect, and addiction that threatened to claim her life. Her story reveals how during a time of complete darkness living far, far away from God, He still found her, poured out His faithfulness onto her, and showed her His love, goodness, and power. Now, she lives in the light, giving Him glory for everything He has done for her.

To anyone who has been or is in the same situation Sue was, God loves and cares about you more than you can fathom. Be encouraged to receive hope and find it in Jesus, the one true hope, during dark times.
