Forgotten Rose: A Jess Delaine Western Mystery - Paperback

by John D. Nesbitt (Author)

Out in the open range, the greatest threats lie hidden...and one cowboy must risk everything to bring them to light.

Jess Delaine arrives at a modest ranch near Sayers, Wyoming, ready to guide hunters and face the hard labor of a roundup. But his routine life is upended when Tiburcio Martínez, a man searching for his missing daughter, is found dead. As questions multiply, Delaine uncovers dark secrets stretching across the rangeland-secrets tied to ruthless criminals exploiting women for profit.

When more bodies appear, including that of Martínez's nephew, Delaine finds himself locked in a desperate struggle against a hidden network of traffickers. After receiving a tip from a spirited saloon woman, he teams up with Deputy Blackmur and follows a trail that leads to shadowy ranchers, mysterious visitors, and a group of women held against their will.

Facing ambushes, betrayals, and a chilling conspiracy, Delaine must decide how far he's willing to go to protect the innocent and deliver justice to the guilty. In a lawless land, will he be able to expose the truth-or become its next victim?
