Is your child getting ready to start preschool or kindergarten? This book will prepare your child with the creative skills, knowledge, and attitudes necessary for success in school!

Fiona the Snail and her cute little snail friends will introduce your child to the basic communication and cooperative play skills taught in school. They'll get to recognize and share their feelings, learn how to meet new friends, write and read, and create their favorite things. Your child will love drawing right in the book and creating a special piece that they can read over and over!

Fiona the Snail is a character created for Stacy's first book "Let's Count Bugs," a counting and color recognition book focused on toddler learning skills. Now Fiona the Snail is grown up and starting kindergarten. This book will take you through the lessons and excitement of being an independent and creative "big kid" ready for the next adventure!

Social and Emotional Learning (SEL)

This early childhood education book is based on some of the guiding principles of 'The Responsive Classroom' approach, which believes that in order to be successful in and out of school, children need to learn a set of social and emotional competencies (cooperation, assertiveness, responsibility, empathy, and self-control), and a set of academic competencies (academic mindset, perseverance, learning strategies, and academic behaviors).

Social and Emotional Learning is about helping your children develop a range of skills they need for school and life!
