Finding My Father: Beyond Tragedy, Through Trauma, and Into Freedom - Paperback

by Marian Poeppelmeyer (Author), David Martin (Foreword by)

The historical sabotage bombing of US Air Lines Flight 629 outside Denver, Colorado, left 44 people instantly killed and a nation stunned. How does one family pick up their shattered lives and move on? Can they move beyond their tragedy?

"How does anyone?" asks author Marian Poeppelmeyer as she provides firsthand insight from one who has lived it.

On the night of November 1, 1955, Marty Hobgood found herself instantly widowed with a toddler and a newborn on the way. One evil act had changed their world forever.

Finding My Father delves into the ripple effect of tragedy and trauma in the life of this family who lost a husband and father in the first-ever commercial airplane bombing over US soil. Never knowing her dad, the author writes with gut-level transparency and covers difficult topics such as fatherlessness, babies and trauma, repercussions of evil acts, and the pain of self-discovery. Through Marian's story, you are led onto a road of freedom, which brings hope and peace out of the ashes of tragedy.
