Evolution Slam Dunk: Why the Reptile-Mammal Transition Proves Macroevolution & How Antievolutionists Ignore It - Paperback

by Rulon James Downard (Author)

The Reptile-Mammal Transition is the most compelling case for macroevolution (the origin of novel forms of life by natural branching common descent). Besides the fossils covering millions of years, there's a wealth of corroborating science data, from developmental biology to the latest genetics. Now how do those skeptical of evolution (whether they call themselves "creationists" or favor "Intelligent Design") deal with all that evidence? They don't. And you'll be able to see that for yourself because EVOLUTION SLAM DUNK covers them all. Whether you're an educator wanting a new resource to better defend your teaching of evolution science, or someone concerned with the antievolutionist claim that "there's no evidence for macroevolution," or just curious to know more about what the facts are, this thoroughly documented work will bring you up to speed on the science of 2016. The Reptile-Mammal Transition is OUR story, after all. It's part of how we humans came to be.

Author Biography

For twenty years I have been studying the creation/evolution controversy, exploring the underlying methodology of antievolutionism through the lenses of both science and history (my BA was in History from Eastern Washington University). Recently I have transformed that personal academic interest into a positive resource program, the #TIP "Troubles in Paradise" project (www.tortucan.wordpress.com & www.tortucan.com) to make available to the public as broad a range of evidence for evolution as possible, as well as identifying the ongoing methodological difficulties of antievolutionism. "Evolution Slam Dunk" is the latest phase of that #TIP effort.
