Erotic Singapore: Sex and the City-State - Paperback

by Mekong Moe (Author)

The author is a prostitute who has worked in Singapore at various times over the last decade as a blatant street-walker, a discreet 'hostess' in smart sex clubs, a provider of cheap blow-jobs, and an elite escort in the 5-star hotels. Mekong Moe therefore is the ideal guide to sex and prostitution in the city-state. Welcome to the 'sin' in Sin-gapore! Here the weather is hot, the whores are hotter, and intercourse is easy - everybody speaks English and the streets are safe. The fascinating story of Singapore's ambiguous attitudes towards sexual promiscuity is revealed in this well-illustrated guide. Mekong Moe, author of 'Fuck Miss Saigon: Adventures of a Vietnamese Prostitute', vividly describes the country's erotic transformation over the two hundred years since its founding in 1819. In Part 1 of this book, she wittily records the startling hedonism of colonial times. The post-independence era witnessed puritanical condemnation (under Prime Minister Lee Kuan Yew) of all aspects of so-called 'yellow culture' permissiveness apart from prostitution. More recently, the important role of sex in modernising post-industrial Singapore has turned a notoriously straight-laced country into a quietly decadent society. Part 2 aims to help readers witness this transformation. Moe, who has worked in all types of sex work in Singapore, catalogues the many sexual services and entertainment on offer in all the legal and unofficial red light districts of this increasingly easy-going city-state. Maps and photographs guide the curious voyeur or the eager sex tourist to the places that prostitutes frequent, making Singapore a world-class 'City of Sin'. The experienced Asian MILF whore clearly excels in writing, as well as the intimate skills of the world's oldest profession.

Author Biography

Mekong Moe is Vietnamese prostitute. She was born in South Vietnam in 1972, just as the US was preparing to pull its troops out and leave the communist North to capture Saigon. She married early, had two children, but increasingly despised her foolish husband. In 2009 she got divorced. Desperately short of money, she travelled to Singapore to work in a hairdressing salon there. When she arrived, however, she soon discovered she had been tricked. To repay her ticket costs, she would have to sell sex to western businessmen. In this fascinating account of sex in Singapore, Mekong Moe draws on her experiences as a mature Asian hooker. She offers detailed guidance of the red light districts. A blatant street-walker, a discreet 'hostess' in smart sex clubs, a provider of cheap blow-jobs, and an elite escort in the 5-star hotels, Moe offers the insider's view, and she paints a sympathetic picture of prostitution. The book is richly illustrated. Her spirited sexuality is evident. This experienced Asian MILF whore clearly excels in writing, as well as the intimate skills of the world's oldest profession.
