Displacer - Paperback

by Sean Hamilton (Author)

The displacers drown and are reborn only to die again and again...

The crew of The Cloudbell land on the previously unexplored planet of Bahsewl and set in motion a series of events they might never understand. Through ancient lands rife with old magic and monsters, the crucible of the beautiful but deadly planet forces them to confront their demons. Some are drawn to the chaos and beauty, while others rethink everything they've believed and held dear. Weaving classic themes of science fiction and fantasy into a rich tapestry of chaos and danger, Hamilton brings to life the bleak and beautiful landscape of Bahsewl. As they encounter sects and cities, monsters and marvels, the crew finds that this planet holds hope and despair in equal measure.

If Captain Kirk and the crew of the Enterprise landed in Steven Erikson's Malazan saga, the result might look like the first entry in Hamilton's Displacer series.
