She has been creating children's books for thirty years and championing and giving a voice to new writers and illustrators of picture books, a genre she has always been passionate about. Over the years, it has sold millions of copies, been translated into more than twenty languages across different formats, and become a modern classic. When not writing from her home on the Somerset-Dorset border, you will find her in her organic garden, riding horses or walking her dogs through the beautiful countryside, and running an agricultural business with her husband.
