Dead North - Paperback

by Nina Degraff (Author)

Photographer Sonny Littlefield is smart, funny, and devoted to her art to the point where she'll dangle from a bridge, trek down jungle trails, or swim with sharks if that's what it takes to secure the kind of gripping, atmospheric shots she loves the best.

Even with all that experience under her belt, she's entirely out of her depth as she tackles running the strawberry and sheep farm that she inherited out of the blue from Raymond French, the biological father she never knew about until an attorney called on a winter day and broke the startling news. It turns out her blue eyes and curly hair were thanks to an affair her mother had kept secret for twenty-eight years. Ever since she moved to the strawberry farm, her problems have been piling up: her cousins keep robbing her house, she's rapidly going broke, and she hasn't had a date in months.

"Dead North" is the third novel in the series:

Lights out. Hard reset. Here we go again. Lately, photographer Sonny Littlefield is pressing repeat when it comes to trouble barreling out of the blue. Now, when she sets out to feed her state trooper boyfriend's fish while he's away, Sonny comes face to face with an armed crew who are not just checking the contents of the safe. They've shown up with an intent to kill. As the death toll mounts, Sonny enlists the help of an elite cop from her boyfriend's past. Does the trouble stem from an undercover sting on the Canadian border, or has Sonny rattled a killer as she follows clues on her father's map of unsolved crimes? As always, three words define Sonny's brushes with death, bursts of insight, and wrong turns. Regroup. Strategize. Survive.
