Darkness Shifting: Tides of Darkness Book One - Paperback

by Sarah L. Blair (Author)

"It takes more than claws and fur to make someone a monster."

Paranormal Investigator Sidney Lake doesn't jump at shadows.
The weird stuff is her jurisdiction.

So when a mangled monster turns up in New York City's subway system, Sidney is number one on the Medical Examiner's speed dial.

At the crime scene she discovers two uncomfortable truths: not only was this creature thought to be extinct, it's been killed by its own kind. Which means something's been unleashed in the city that even the monsters are afraid of...

Sidney vowed to protect her beloved city and its people no matter the cost, but when clues to the creature's origin point toward the brutal murder of her parents twelve years ago, the case starts to hit too close to home.

As the truth leads further into the shadows than Sidney ever wanted to go, she discovers lies and betrayal that cut deeper than any monster's claws - and one desperate choice could drag her into the darkness for good.

The Tides of Darkness is a dark urban fantasy series meant for adult readers who enjoy sweary, snarky heroines, slow-burn, open-door romance, murder, mystery, and monsters.
