Consumed in the Dark - Paperback

by Shanna Robillard (Author)

Sirena Dubois is being hunted.

Centuries ago, her ancestor enslaved a violent demon to their whim, but the abuse of the dark being didn't stop there. Generation after generation of her family used the dark being for their own nefarious purposes. When it escaped hundreds of years later, it vowed to enact revenge-and it has been hunting her family ever since.

28 years after her parents disappeared, Sirena's time has come. The demon has her in it's sights, and she runs in the middle of the night, leaving her life and foster-sister behind. In fear for her life, Sirena remembers her parents' stories and calls on Lilith for help. Recognizing the evil the woman is facing, Lilith agrees to protect her, assigning her a demonic guardian named Utor.

At first, Sirena is uncomfortable: he's always around and trying to take care of her. Decades of self-reliance taught her to hold everyone at arm's length, but he's swiftly breaking down those walls she set up around her heart.

Then a single moment destroys it all. Sirena learns Utor is a shifter-just like the demon hunting her. Even worse, his shifter side is terrifying. How can she possibly trust him-with her life or her heart? Can she ever see beyond his shifter side? More importantly, can he keep her alive?
