Confessions of a First Lady: The Final Chapter - Paperback

by Denora M. Boone (Author)

It's been ten years since secrets and tragedy rocked the Millhouse family and the members of Clover Hill Church of God in Christ and it's not over.

Veronica Millhouse has had her fair share of trials and tribulations. Once the First Lady of a prominent house of worship, Veronica now finds herself questioning herself and God. From being exposed by an ex lover to being kidnapped and assaulted, Veronica tries desperately to get her life back in order and aligned with God's plan for her life. Just when she thinks that things are turning around for her good, the enemy unleashes even more fire and brimstone in her life.

Faced with the reality of her 30 year marriage going down the drain, Veronica desperately tries to hold on to the little bit of sanity she has left before she crashes out.

Pastor Marcus Millhouse, once the powerhouse preacher and love of Veronica's life, has some confessing of his own to do. Unable to deal with the turmoil his wife had to face along with his failing health and career, he did something that he never thought was possible for him. Instead of turning to Veronica, he took a wrong turn right into the arms of another woman. Now faced with the reality of his own indiscretions, Marcus tries to repair what's broken between him and his wife before it's too late.

How could God allow these things to happen was a question that both Veronica and Marcus find themselves asking at every corner. Would He put back the broken pieces of their lives together or was He telling them this was the end? What happens when the vows that were taken no longer holds weight and causes more harm than good? Come take a final ride with the ones who were once "couple goals" as they try their best to trust God and hold on to His unchanging hand.
