WHAT THE NEWSPAPERS ARE SAYING ABOUT CHRIS REYNOLDS:

"To call Reynolds' comics black and white isn't quite to do them justice; they're more like black and white and black - and it's in that extra layer of darkness that his genius may be found." - Rachel Cooke - Guardian

"It's all very strange and puzzling but bizarrely compelling. Reynolds' stark black and white frames stop you in your tracks. Time and again you find yourself thinking: just what is it exactly that I'm looking at?" - Bookmunch

"The stories are easy to consume but are tantalizingly difficult to characterize." - The Paris Review

"It is easy, if a little glib, to situate Reynolds' work in the canon of what we might call paranoiac modernism: there's a pinch of David Lynch in it, a spoonful of Edward Hopper, a dash of Ballard, Kafka, and Bruno Schulz. Characters' memories and identities splinter, or elide." - Keith Miller - TLS

"Expect the black and white artwork to suck you into a parallel world that is stripped down to dichotomies and ideals, and the dialogue and direction to conjure a billion questions within you that will unfortunately never find answers in the long run." - Lashaan Balasingam - Bookidote
