Citizens of Another Country - Paperback

by Annika Goodwin (Author)

Dr. Moses is convinced that once citizens realize their potential through the chip and catch his vision for collaborative consciousness, they will embrace what he considers to be the next evolutionary step of humanity. But his Machiavellian colleagues have less than scrupulous motives to see the project to its completion.

The success of the global link depends on Ira, the talented but principled biotech programmer who has been given an ultimatum-find a way to dismantle the malware protecting a patient's mind, or see the patient terminated. As he explores the hazy ethical line between saving life and violating an individual's neural freedom, he discovers the rogue program he has been tasked with circumventing seems to have a mind of its own.

Within the confines of Liberation Station, Craig Goforth is plagued by concern for the safety of his students and realizes he may never again see the light of day, much less be able to bring the gospel to citizens of the State.

But God always has a plan. Revival rages in the outer docks, shaking awake prisoners of darkness as Selah's message spreads hope through the crumbling neighborhoods. However, news of the growing number of converts has also reached the ears of some power-hungry individuals who are waiting to play a dark trump card of their own.

In the third book of the Light Bearer Series, the nation turns on the axis of change. Is it on the cusp of the ultimate totalitarian regime, or a breakthrough of true national and individual freedom? The answer may be determined by the citizens of another country.
